Arborfield Field Spaniels

AM/CAN/SKC/INT'L CH Maplesugar Back To The Future CGC, ROM-S, ROM-P (Baylee)

Baylee with the Wicksford Trophy (awarded for his Best Opposite at the 1997 national)

Sire: CH Centennial Back Field N M'tion
Dam: CH Blesslea The One And Only CD
Whelped: 1995

Baylee possessed many attributes that made him a winner, but with his sense of humor he was just plain fun to have around and he was my all-time favorite dog to show. Baylee was a multiple group winner (US, SKC and Int'l competition), a multiple group placer in Canada (as well as #1 Field in 1996, #2 in 1999, and #2 in 2000 with VERY limited showing). He is the first Field to earn his Canadian Championship by virtue of group placements exclusively. Baylee has the dubious distinction of being the first male Field Spaniel to earn Best Opposite (BOS) at the Field Spaniel Society of America national specialty. Best Of Breed was awarded to the incomparable Jackee', so we were very pleased and honored with the BOS win! He is the first Field to win an Int'l Reserve Best In Show. He is the first SKC champion Field (with four group ones in four shows entered). Baylee won Best In Show on the day he won his first AKC Group 1st.

Baylee spent most of 1999 with Amy Walker and Anthony Cantor. They started him on his way in 2000 before I brought him back home. Upon completing his CH in July 1996, Baylee remained in the Top Fields 1996 through 2000. Baylee's final group placement was earned in November 2000-a group one, handled by me. I will always remember that show.

I was devastated to lose Baylee in July 2001 at the age of six. He is still missed!
